Decided I'd draw from a pose reference (shoutout Robinswords greatsword idle stances on youtube) and armor reference (thanks wikipedia). Proportions feel more right this time, though the torso still feels odd. Armor sits on and accentuates the body in strange ways.

Neat! I love armor, despite how difficult it is to draw. You have my respect.

So I decided I was having fun doing little doodles, but anything more than I'd posted so far would take huge amounts of effort via mouse, and I just wasn't happy with anything I was drawing. So I got a cheap drawing tablet, and after messing around with it and having some time to actually give it a proper go, I gave it a go with this. I need to practice proportions and placement, but for being a screenless tablet and not having done any serious drawing in close to a decade, I'd say I'm fairly pleased with the result of my relatively quick doodle. Meet Relak, a frequent and recurring character of sorts that borders on being my old persona.

So I decided I want to keep practicing at art so I tried some tools that I hadn't really used before to draw a sky out of a dream I had years and years ago that. Supposed to be a fiery sky meeting the ocean at the beach.
